Microwave ovens are no longer fancy kitchen appliances and indeed have become the must-haves. Today, it’s literally impossible to think of setting up a functional kitchen without having a microwave oven installed either in the built in wall closet or on the kitchen countertop.
Microwaves have evolved from basic cooking and reheating devices to some of the most advanced and high-end appliances with cutting edge technologies including sensor mechanism and genius cooking.
But before buying a microwave one needs to have clear cut understanding of his or her requirements and enough consideration about the pricing and functionality of the device. Many a times, people buy basic microwave ovens designed basically for cooking and reheating purposes without any added features of smart sensing and intelligent cooking. Contrary to this, there are times when people don’t need much of the advanced features and their needs are just confined to basic cooking and reheating.
This review is about Panasonic NN-SU696S Countertop Microwave Oven yet another highly advanced device with genius cooking sensing and other highly progressive features that include pre-programmed menu options and dedicated one-touch buttons for microwave popcorn, sensor cook, and keep warm functions.
Equipped with one-touch Panasonic sensor cooking button, the microwave takes the guesswork out of your cooking and cooks delicious meals by automatically setting power level and adjusting its own cooking or defrosting time. Not only this, the 7 pre-programmed menu options cook potatoes, fresh vegetables, frozen pizza, frozen entrée, casserole, and meat at your convenience.
Additionally, the keep warm feature of the device offers steaming food by keeping soups, stews, vegetables, gravies, desserts and other cooked food items warm inside the oven until they are ready to be served.
With dimensions of 16.6 x 20.4 x 12.4 inches, the device offers 1.3 cu feet of spacious cooking cavity and easily accommodates a 12-inch casserole in it. The device can be easily placed on the kitchen platform for convenient usage. The ultra seek touch-button control panel and four digit-display give the microwave an ultramodern sleek look that blends easily with any type of contemporary kitchen or house settings.
Panasonic NN-SU696S Countertop Microwave Oven is really a high-end cooking device when it comes to convenience cooking. The features that I really like about this microwave oven are its high cooking power of 1100 watts, its incomparable defrosting capability, and its quick 30 button for quick reheating. The rest of its advanced sensing features and genius cooking doesn’t work that well for me. For instance, my pop corns got charred when I attempted to microwave the corn kernels and my tea got overboiled and spilled down on the floor of the device. However, I’m trying to get used to of its technologically advanced feature and it does require a little bit of hit or miss to get used to of this highly advanced microwave.
