Pavlova – Fresh Strawberry Pavlova Dish – Christmas Treat Special

I am a big pavlova lover. For me, it is an excellent treat which doesn’t require any reason to prepare. A pavlova is incredible at any time of the year, but as festivals are associated with various dessert preparations, the coming festive season is also a good reason for preparing pavlova along with Christmas cakes and pies.

Unlike other Christmas treats, this amazingly tasty dessert requires just a handful of ingredients and a simple preparation. But, it is necessary to keep few things in mind before you attempt making this super yummy dessert treat at home. Typical issues that may bother you while trying this dish at home are the pavlova coming out too dry or not dry enough, or the sugar is getting leaked from inside.

So, if you want to enjoy the exact taste and texture of the meringue that has crisp outer portion and fluffy and tender marshmallowy center, just go through a small checklist of some simple rules which can make your dish  a great dessert that is easy, quick, and simple.

And, the rules are:

1. Bake the pavlova at lower temperature for a longer period of time.

2. Use the amount of sugar equal to the weight of the egg whites.

3. Using a hand-held electric mixer blend the egg whites till they form soft peaks, incorporating a little sugar at a time with the mixer in motion.

4. Once egg whites and sugar are blended well, add cornflour and white vinegar.

5. Keep on the whisking till the meringue is lustrous and looks like shaving foam.

6. Bake the meringue at low temperature. Once it is done, let it cool down in the oven with the oven door cracked open.

7. Once it is cooled down, frost it with whipped cream and fresh fruit.  You can top it with any of your favorite fruits, but strawberries, raspberries, and kiwis complement the pavlova most. I have even topped it with mango slices, and believe me, it was awesome.  You can try passion fruit and other soft fruits as well.

Try following these simple steps while making pavlova, and I am sure your dish would turn out to be an amazingly tasty and awesome looking dessert treat this festive season.
